Media arts student Parker Davis’s trailer for Submariners was picked to premiere on a short film website called Film Shortage.  Film Shortage is one of the biggest short film websites in the world and the only one that does trailers as well.  This is a great start for their film, and hopefully a sign of good things to come.  Click on the link to see the trailer on Film Shortage’s site: http://filmshortage.com/short-trailers/  (The Submariners trailer is now about fifth on the page.)

George Nelson’s play Single Wide was picked by Hypable.com as one of the 10 best Broadway shows of 2015. Hypable, a website that provides news about entertainment, said the following:“The NY Musical Theatre Festival always delivers one or two outstanding shows, but rarely the expected ones. A musical about a single mom in a trailer park was nowhere near the top of our most-anticipated NYMF shows list. But the show was a revelation, an incredibly sweet and sincere story. Smashing through the Bechdel test, Single Wide was really feminist, focused on family and friendship over romance – all accompanied by beautiful music. We really hope this musical finds a life after NYMF!”  To read the entire article, go to http://www.hypable.com/best-2015-broadway-shows
