Lindsay Livingston announces some bittersweet news. Dr. Livingston has accepted a fellowship position at the James Weldon Johnson Institute for the Study of Race and Difference at Emory University, beginning this fall. The Livingstons will be moving to Atlanta in July.  She  says that, “Though I am excited for this new opportunity, I will miss working, building, and learning with you and our students. I have had an incredible experience at BYU, and I would not trade it for the world – much of that is due to the remarkable friendships and connections I have made with you over the past five years. I look forward to seeing you at conferences and on social media in the coming years.”  We will miss you, Lindsay, and wish you all the best in your new endeavors.

Three of our student office staff will be on internships for the rest of the summer.  Maddie Jones, Lindsi’s assistant, has taken an internship for the summer and won’t be returning since she is close to graduation. She will graduate in August with a degree in statistics. The TMA Designer, Megan Jarvis, has taken a graphic design internship in New York.  Fortunately, Megan will be returning at the end of the summer.  Courtney Mortenson, Elizabeth’s assistant, is taking an internship in Paris where she will be working with Les Petits Freres des Pauvres, a charity that works with elderly citizens in France. Miraculously, they were able to arrange for her husband to join her.  He will be working on a project in Mechanical Engineering off site. Courtney will also be returning at the end of the summer.
