Call for Creative Writing Submissions: Literary Laundry is excited to announce its sixth call for submissions. As always, all work submitted to the journal will be considered for our writing competitions. We are offering the following cash awards: $500 for the best poem and $500 for the best short story. This writing competition is open to writers of all ages. Our most recent issue featured work from professors, graduate students, and undergraduates. In addition to our general competition, we are also sponsoring an undergraduate-only competition, offering $250 for the best undergraduate poem and $250 for the best undergraduate short story. Inquiry Conference Call for Abstracts: For fifteen years, the BYU Field Studies’ International Inquiry Conference has served as a forum for students of all disciplines to present their cross-cultural field research and an opportunity for the university community to participate in discussions reaching beyond our campus to the international world. All disciplines are welcome. Early submissions will be prioritized in the acceptance process. Submission guidelines and form may be found at kennedy.byu.edu/events/inquiry. Ninth International Conference on Technology, Knowledge, and Society: The technology conference is an interdisciplinary meeting focused on the relationships between technology, knowledge, and society. The theme for 2013 is “Organize, Challenge, Re-Imagine: New Media and Social Movements.” The conference will take place at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada during January 13-14, 2013. NETC 46th Annual Theatre Auditions & Technical Interviews: The New England Theatre Conference announces their 2013 Theatre Auditions, March 16-18, 2013 in Boston, MA. These auditions are open to college students and adults, 18 and older. Over 40 theatres will be represented at these auditions, offering summer and year-round employment and job opportunities for both performing and technical/staff applicants.
